Zhang Rui never expected that hands-on activities could be so fascinating. The assembled solar-powered lunar rover could move on its own under sunlight. Compared with the PV system installed on the school roof, these engaging educational models gave him a more intuitive understanding of the wonders of clean energy. From transportation and lighting to even the way his mother cooks, he discovered for the first time through the Sungrow Public Welfare Class that there are so many ways to embrace a green and clean lifestyle in everyday life.
Zhang Rui’s school, Haowuji Shirui Primary School in Anyang, Henan Province, is surrounded by wheat fields and represents a typical rural school with relatively limited educational resources. The school had long hoped to establish a clean energy education base, but the only available resource was an early-stage poverty alleviation PV system installed on the school rooftop, with limited educational applications. On June 20, the Sungrow Smart Classroom donated by Sungrow New Energy was officially put into operation, greatly enriching the school’s clean energy education resources and opening a new window to knowledge for students.
“The Sungrow Smart Classroom enables scenario-based interactive teaching, remote education, and teaching assistance. It has introduced new teaching models and allowed students to access knowledge and perspectives that were previously beyond their reach due to geographical limitations,” said Zhang Xianqi, Principal of Shirui Primary School.
The Sungrow Smart Classroom transforms the traditional one-way teaching model by overcoming time and space barriers, enabling the rapid replication and delivery of high-quality educational resources. It effectively addresses the educational resource gaps at Haowuji Shirui Primary School.
In recent years, focusing on key areas of rural revitalization, including rural education, elderly care, and healthcare support, Sungrow New Energy has jointly launched the “Sungrow Positive Energy” initiative with the China Social Welfare Foundation. The initiative has delivered numerous public welfare projects across China, with efforts extending from northern desert regions to southwestern border areas. A large number of charity projects, including Sungrow Smart Classrooms and Sungrow Elderly Care Stations, have been established in regions such as Gansu, Qinghai, and Guangxi.
Going forward, Sungrow New Energy will continue advancing its broader vision of public welfare. While strengthening its core business to support areas related to livelihoods, employment, and rural income growth, the company will continue promoting the Sungrow Positive Energy Initiative, bringing warmth and support to more communities in need.
